New leather range blossoms

There is a new name in luxury leather goods.  Leather Rose.

The South African-based company produces show-stopping bags, belts and cuffs in farmed exotic leathers such as ostrich, stingray and crocodile.  A sample of the range is pictured below.

The designs are one-offs and include Italian-made hardware and embellishments featuring semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystals.  Coloured leather also features strongly with vivid blues and orange complementing the traditional tan and black colourings.

And now Leather Rose is available in Australia.

Expat and now Sunshine Coast-based Ilona Schreuder discovered the label on a trip back to South Africa earlier this year.

“Once I set eyes on them, I knew I had to bring them to Australia,” said Ilona.

Ilona attended the leather and accessories fair in Sydney in February and interest peaked in the range, which has now arrived in Australia ready for distribution to boutiques.

“All Leather Rose handbags are designer, luxury leather artworks, handcrafted from the finest exotic skins,” said Ilona.

“Each piece has been designed with the intention of preserving the natural, raw beauty of the leather and transforming it into an object to be enjoyed for life,” she said.

Bags are 100% leather lined with soft nappa leather to ensure the lining is as durable as the bag.

Leather Rose cuffs have been created from crocodile, ostrich, or Italian cowhide and are either plain or embellished for the ultimate on-trend fashion look.
