Hollywood comes to Mooloolaba
It was a night when too much glitz and glam was never enough.
Hair was big, feathers abounded (can feathers do that?), fur was real and there were more diamantes than you would find in your Nanna’s jewellery box.
It could have been Hollywood circa 1948 – or an episode of that early ’80s TV gem, Dynasty, but no, it was flamboyant designer Richard De Chazal working his magic on Sunshine Coast media starlets and Coast breast cancer survivors.
And it was all in the name of charity – artist Kendall Perkins-Brakels teamed with her good friend Richard and Mooloolaba’s Gallery Beneath to unveil her latest exhibition for a night that kick started the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pinktober.
Hot 91’s Power and Pete got the MC gig, Faye Rolph Models’ Simone Merlo and Monique Parry created models from media and Halo of Mooloolaba’s Naomi Carter styled up the hair dos.
