This shoe has appeared in UK Grazia and UK Vogue this year.
So what? You say.
The what is that the shoe is designed in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast – a long way from the UK.
The company behind these blinged, jelly flats is Holster.
And the people behind Holster are partners in life and business, Ben Nothling and Natalie Miller.
Natalie is the design genius, Ben the business brain. Ben’s great, great grandfather was David Jones (yes, as in the department store!).
The idea for the business began on a Bali holiday in 2001.
Now Holster’s affordable fashion shoes are now worn by thousands around the world, from mere mortals to celebs such as Kristy Hinze, Bec Cartwright, Sophie Monk and the Duchess of Kent.
The Indonesian-made footwear is a favourite for all ages and kids can even join in the fashion fun, with a clear jelly design launched this season.
Harrods in the UK are stocking this one next summer; Selfridges already stocks the women’s range.
I’m loving the uber popular Jelly Toe Thong clear ($43.95) for an easy, beach summer wardrobe essential; and the Roman Sandal ($49.95) in pewter, silver or gold. This sandal is possibly the only way most of us should attempt a Roman sandal as it flatteringly straps below the ankle.
