There is nothing like the sight of a few diamonds to get a girl’s heart racing … and if you also add in a couple of firefighters selling charity calenders in which they appear quite buffed (thanks Chris and Clinton) then you certainly have a fashion lunch that has everyone dreaming long after the last French Martini has been consumed.
Guests at the October 2008 Fashion Fridays event at Maroochydore’s Wine Bar restaurant were treated to a showcase of jewellery from The Jewellery Lounge and fashion by Sunshine Coast designer label, Tulipani.
On show were fashion jewellery pieces in Murano glass, Sardinian gold, funky silver pieces … and diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds.
Jewellery Lounge owner Maurizio Fenu uses his Italian flair to select pieces that stand out from the crowd, no matter what size your budget has been reduced to.
Tulipani’s second summer collection offered the perfect backdrop to the store’s fashion pieces and I’m still dreaming of the Nicola Finetti yellow, black and white platform shoes – and oversized clutch – that featured from shoe boutique, Classique Stiletto. Love the orange platforms and clutch too. Actually, loved it all.
The final Fashion Fridays lunch for 2008 is on November 28 with Gingers Boutique, Buderim. Remaining tickets go on sale, Wednesday, November 5 at 10am. Phone The Wine Bar on 5479 0188.
The Jewellery Lounge (www.jewellerylounge.com.au) has stores at the Sunshine Coast Airport and in the Zanzibar Arcade, Mooloolaba. Classique Stiletto is also in the Zanzibar Arcade.
