Make your fashion buying count
The white shirt will always be a fashion classic but Witchery is putting this wardrobe essential on the spring 2009 must-have list. The reason – a collection of white shirts is the cornerstone of Witchery’s 2008 fundraising campaign for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).
One Australian woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer and there is currently no early detection test, unlike cervical or breast cancer. It’s a cause very close to my heart as my gorgeous mother-in-law lost her battle with this insidious disease almost two years ago.
Help back this cause and purchase a shirt – 100% of funds raised will go to the OCRF.
Choose from a classic oversized boyfriend shirt, through to a delicate silk-satin ruffle sleeve blouse, a sexy tank or a tuxedo vest.
These shirts will be very popular – there have even been inquiries about them from ovarian cancer survivors in the US who want to buy the tops online because there is nothing similar to this concept in the States.
Let’s hope Witchery sells out and raises the aimed-for $500,000.
