Hot 91\'s Todd Widdicombe is a hit with the judges Seven Local News\' Rob Brough carves up the dance floor ...The Sunshine Coast Daily\'s Nathanael Cooper shakes his tail feather

The dance floor was smoking on Saturday, October 4, at the Sunshine Coast function centre as six Sunshine Coast “stars” salsa-ed and samba-ed the night way all in the name of charity at the Dancing with the Local Stars ball.

The charity in the spotlight was the Hear and Say Centre in Nambour – an organisation achieving amazing things with hearing impaired kids.  To keep the good work going – and enable more kids and their parents to access the facility, the fundraising is ongoing.

$10,000 is needed to put each child through the program.

It was the event’s third year and each year Channel 7 Dancing with the Stars judge Mark Wilson has given his time free of charge to help the Hear and Say Centre.

He not only had MC duties but was on the judging panel for the six dances.  Joining him on the juding panel was Zinc FM’s Nugget, who proved to be a serious challenger for a spot on the real Dancing with the Stars. Todd McKenney watch out!

Snaps a plenty to the dancers, including Nathanael Cooper (Sunshine Coast Daily); Todd Widdicombe (Hot 91); Rob Brough (Seven Local News); Leann Reed (Reed Property Group), Jason Law (Telstra Countrywide) and Karen Rolf (Lexus Caloundra).
