For the second year in a row Bonds has joined forces with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to raise funds for breast cancer research. This summer look for a new Pink Ribbon range which includes a hipster bikini, boy leg brief, loose fit tee and the infamous chesty singlet (worn in the photo by NBCF patron Sarah Murdoch), each adorned with the breast cancer signature pink ribbon logo, incorporated into the Bonds logo. Last year Bonds had an overwhelming response and raised more than $100,000 during October. This year Bonds aims to beat that. OPI is supporting the NBCF’s Pink Ribbon campaign with its new limited edition PINK OF HEARTS 2008 ($19.95). This is OPI’s third year as a sponsor of the campaing and last year, sales from OPI’s Pink of Hearts lacquer raised more than $25,000. The PINK OF HEARTS 2008 nail lacquer is a beautifully soft opalescent shade of pink and features the iconic pink ribbons on the cap. Available at David Jones and leading beauty salons. www.opi.net.au
During October Berlei will support Breast Cancer Awareness month by turning Berlei’s favourite bras pink. For every selected pink bra purchased during October, Berlei will donate $5 to the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). Through the BCNA, Berlei provides a complimentary My Care Kit to women who have recently undergone surgery for breast cancer. The kit contains a bra and soft form designed by Berlei for wear in the weeks and/or months following surgery. Breast care nurses and community nurses enrolled in the My Care Kit program can order this bra for women in their care. Additional bras can be purchased, with part of the proceeds donated to BCNA. Schwarzkopf Professional and its parent company, Henkel Australia, a leader in innovative technology – have announced their commitment to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation in 2008. Schwarzkopf Professional will donate $1 from every sale of Silhouette Color Brilliance Hairspray ($13.50) and Mousse ($12.50) to the NBCF. Schwarzkopf’s business partner, DHL Exel Supply Chain,covering all warehousing costs to the value of $20,000 during the campaign. All up this represents an $80,000 donation.
Palmolive will donate 5c for every Palmolive Personal Care product purchased from participating stores during the entire month of October to contribute towards their donation goal of $100,000 over two years. All funds raised will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s very worthy research program.
