There was definitely something in the air over the past week – particularly last weekend.
So many glam outfits coming through on the #everydaystyle Instagram feed, I almost had to call it NOT-everyday style.
This whole challenge started as a request from a number of readers wanting to see what I wore every day. Not just for dress ups.
What I love is that we all get to see what lots of others wear every day so when those same people pop up dressed up for a special occasion – or just because – then you can almost hear the collective gasp through the interwebs.
Or is that just me?
It’s a whole lot of fun to put on some sparkles and dust off the fancy frocks, isn’t it?
For me, one night of doing this can lift my whole week and bring more than a little motivation into the every day.
SY #everydaystyle (the outfit you liked the most)
There’s a lot to be said with keeping it simple for an evening out. But simple doesn’t have to mean statement-free.
In this case it was all about the solid block of colour – a gorgeous pink – that really did suit the occasion. I was attending the launch of the documentary, Uncovering the Brisbane Look.
So, I wanted to NOT wear black. And I wanted to support the Brisbane fashion design industry by wearing local label Surafina. My Salita Matthews necklace completed the look and the Queensland label love.
Thanks for giving this outfit your thumbs up this week.
Owls. Teapots. Shoes: Claire is a public servant by day and blogger by night. She’s a joiner. I love that. On instagram she’s @msclaire76 and she’s a member of the Aussie Curves community. She loves thrift-shopping and tea and there is more than a nod to vintage in her outfit styling.
The Sunday Stylist: A Brisbane blogger who says she’s a hopeless romantic when it comes to anything related to fashion, food and living fabulously. Yep, a girl after my own heart. Her style is feminine and her signature is including at least one hot accessory – usually some killer heels.
Want to join in? Simply upload a photo of yourself showing your everyday style to Instagram or Facebook, use the #everydaystyle and tag @stylingyou so I can find you. Don’t feel you have to post every day. Post when you can.
So tell me, do you have a favourite outfit you wore some time during the last week? Why did you love it so?
