I’m heading to the Gold Coast today for the Problogger Conference. Not only am I excited that finally we have a blogging conference being hosted in my home state but also that the conference is being held in a hotel with a fabulous spa.
Regular readers here will not be surprised to learn that I’ve already booked into said fabulous spa. In fact I booked that appointment months ago at the same time as we sorted accommodation.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I am a Spa Rat. Oh yes, I am.
Now a spa visit is a mandatory treat for me – usually tied into a holiday or weekend away – but in between I go to a number of regular salons for everything from spray tans to pedicures and keeping my hair a “natural” shade of blonde.
I’m going to share my beauty and spa list below but the point of this post is to get all of your lists.
I want to know all your salon secrets. I want to know the places you recommend when someone asks for a hair or beauty – or holiday spa – referral.
Like the Shopping Directory we created with your help, we’re doing the same with all things beauty. It will be a resource for everyone here on the blog but will also be adapted for inclusion in my book.
The aim is to help people find the best salons and spas wherever they live around Australia – or the world. This will help other readers when they’re on holiday or if they’re moving to a new area.
Are you ready?
Hair: Suite Three, Buderim. I have L’Oreal Professionnel INOA colour applied.
Spray tans: Lime Health and Beauty, Cotton Tree. I get Aviva City Collection tan in Miami (it’s just the right amount of colour for my skin tone and in 90 minutes and you can wash it off).
Facials: Lime Health and Beauty, Cotton Tree for Dermalogica facials ; Suite Three Beauty, Buderim for Thalgo facials; Sukha Beauty, Buderim for ASAP facials; Coastal Plastic Surgery, Kawana (for facials and treatments using advanced cosmeceutical products)
Professional makeup: Pru Edwards, Maroochydore (has made me look 10 years younger on many an occasion).
Cosmetic treatments: Coastal Plastic Surgery, Kawana
In the comments below, please leave answers to these, making sure to include full location details and websites/Facebook pages if you can (copy and paste the list into the comment section if that’s helpful). Let us know if that particular salon, spa or clinic is well known for a particular service or treatment.
If you don’t use a salon for a particular treatment or service, then simply leave that blank. And if you have more than one recommendation, that’s ok too.
Who do you recommend for:
Thanks so much. I know that with your help, this will be a great resource for everyone.
