Let’s go shopping: autumn 2013 trends

Hello autumn, you’re looking mighty fine. Pinch and a punch and all that.

I’m ready for you, yes I am. This wearing not very much thing is great when we’re in the thick of summer holidays and hanging out at the beach all day but now I’m ready for more.

More layering. An injection of new colours. A tweaking of my style to meet the new autumn 2013 trends.

If you’re with me and planning a little shopping this weekend, then I’ve done a little bit of research for you. These are my top 15 fashion buys for the start of autumn 2013.

Remember, before you make a purchase, work out what the gaps in your wardrobe actually are (do you remember what you wore last autumn/winter?) and stick to your list for wardrobe basics before you add in shopping for show pony pieces.

Love that Saba jumper but I bought a rose gold oversized one from Witchery prior to Christmas that I’m looking forward to wearing when it cools down.

I was also in Morrison yesterday when they received their first delivery of light autumn knits and did leave with a knit dress that I’ll wear like a tunic over skinny pants or jeans as well as with tights and boots.

Oh, those metallics are so in and so fun to wear. Morrison is looking very good for autumn – I agree!

It sure is the first day of Autumn especially in Sydney today ,raining, windy and currently 18.5 degrees. So I have on my white Zara pants and a green and navy striped tee with a neon necklace.I may have already done some sneaky shopping for A/W ,you know me a few new knits,a new black bag,a tan pair of ankle boots and yesterday some goodies from Witchery from Ozsale 2 more knits that were an absolute bargain ,one very like the Saba one and a beautiful intarsia graduated knit.I also have gotten another pair of graphic pants for weather like today, and I am so glad I bought that denim jacket from Rockmans for $10 down from $90,if I spread it out and start early I get what I want and no one else has thought to buy them yet as it is too hot,That is my theory anyway.I do love the dinosoar designs necklace and I am a lover of poncho’s, I like how you can layer them but I bought a gorgeous one last year from Sussan and cannot justify buying another one yet.Love your “research” NIkki ,what have you bought for Autumn and Winter ?

Ah, good question … I’ve bought some CR spotty ballet flats and an aqua jacket on special at Christine Kardashian (not really autumn but will work for me with black and white until full winter!) … have a list to work on but don’t need too much at the moment ;)

Sounds good to me ,You will wear that Aqua jacket a lot I still am in love with mine I bought last year.

That is a great list. I really like that Witchery cardigan, I can see that in my wardrobe. No shopping for me this weekend, my home needs some love. Hope you have a great weekend!!

Did my shopping on-line last night – all second hand as usual. Skinny jeans, blazer, woollen vest and a pair of tall burgundy wedge boots. Mind you, a pair of leather trousers are still on the wish list….
