Long weekend. You came, we partook and you went away.
But that’s ok because up here in QLD you were very much a novelty, being our first ever public holiday in second half of the year and all.
I’m particularly stoked that you’ll be back again next October. You are just the little breather I need to get through to Christmas.
Anyhoo, you gave me a chance to continue the spring clean, put my feet up, concoct a cocktail or two and catch up with friends.
Here’s how it went down via Instagram: 14 ways to love a long weekend.
Cotton Tree Esplanade Park putting on its best show … technically it wasn’t the long weekend yet but it felt like it.
A little shopping to add to my Samantha Robinson collection from Willow & Bird
Got to love a newborn baby snuggle and when they’re with a new Veggie Baby , they’re particularly good
The household Spring Clean continues. Mr 7 has had particular attention thanks to a much-needed revamp and IKEA visit. This is before. That’s his Lego collection on the left!
And after: new Kura tent bed, Expedit shelves underneath and to the side. New desk (toddler desk now with Veggie Baby 1), chair and rug. Lego contained and under control. For now.
Out to dinner (kids-free) with the holidaying fabulous Kate and her husband Adam from Uberkate . I will never look at a croquembouche and chocolate sauce the same way again. Never.
How was your weekend? (Sorry Victorians … thanks for keeping the economy ticking over yesterday.)
