One of the big jobs I’ve tackled this week has been the email inbox and the volume of post that arrived while I was away.
So much to catch up on.
I thought I’d share here today five bits of the newsy fashion stuff that I discovered … stuff that made me smile.
1. Witchery now stocks up to size 16. Halle-frickin-lujah. About time. Bring it on. All of the above. It always seemed strange to me that Witchery didn’t. This will now open up so many more of the styles – particularly pants and skirts – to my buying pleasure.
2. Sussan has introduced the Lift and Shape jean. Try it on for an instant butt lift and tummy flatten. Love.
3. Seed has a summer version of the “condom” dress and I have my sights set on the neon yellow version. At $39.95 it will sit very nicely in my summer wardrobe. Thank-you very much. (Check this post for more than 30 different ways to wear the maxi version of this dress). Still at Seed … from October if you’ve got a girl aged 8-14 then you’ll have another fashion shopping option for your Tween, thanks to the Seed Teen Collection.
5. The very dishy former partner of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston, Paul Sculfor, is the face of Trenery Man this season. I’ll refrain from further comment
It’s over to you now … what have I missed out there in fashion retail land? What store has really caught your eye for spring? Have you been surprised by a fashion store you previously wouldn’t have shopped at?
PS. You know how we started talking the other day about paying bucket loads more for cosmetics in Australia? And I mentioned about Illamasqua’s campaign for fair prices here – prices comparable to what they sell for in the UK? Well, there’s been a win. Illamasqua prices will be reduced across the range at Myer – and online – from September 1. You’ll pay between 35-42% less than previously and these prices are on par with the UK. Let’s hope other brands have the capacity and the willingness to follow suit. I’m going to be buying up big on my favourite long-lasting foundation.
