What do you sell in your store?
Home and garage storage products. Everything from cupboard organisers, over door hooks, shower caddies, wardrobe and jewellery organisers, or laundry airers, to garage cabinets and wall systems.
How did the idea for your store come about?
Lifespace is a family business, born from the experience of struggling with space as we raise two boisterous pre-school boys in a small courtyard house.
We understand the first-hand the demands of growing families. Hence, our search for simple and affordable storage solutions as well as some stylish options.
Lifespace also presents our pursuit of work/life balance – something our young family is still striving for!
What is your career background?
Journalism has aided my PR and marketing endeavours drawing on diverse experiences including working in television news reporting, as a newsreader and media adviser to state political leaders before the Cancer Council.
My husband’s purchasing background has also put him in good stead for sourcing the hundreds of products we stock. Ultimately, it would have to be our roles as Mum and Dad that have presented the best organisational skills possible to tackle the varied needs of a small business.
Who is your key customer?
Primarily house-proud women aged 30-60 years, including those who feel compelled to maximise their lifespace and feel organised.
Those of us that celebrate quality design by brands such as Simplehuman also get lost in our website.
How do you make it easy for your online customers to buy from you?

We pride ourselves on prompt customer service, personalised by the small nature of our business.
We strive to offer extensive choice within one website (for example, 30 different shower caddies).
