What do you sell in your store?
Maternity and breastfeeding wear designed by a plus size mum and manufactured in Australia for mums to be size 18 to 28.
How did the idea for your store come about?
I was that plus size mum that wasn’t able to find maternity wear whilst pregnant with my daughter. I shopped online from the USA (without a lot of success!) as stores locally just looked blankly at me when I asked if they had anything in my size.
I am 100% driven and passionate about getting our brand out there for mums to be so that they don’t have to feel the same way I did.
What is your career background?
Production logistics within the entertainment industry – about as far removed from my business as is possible!
Who is your key customer?
Plus size mums-to-be. I sell a lot of pieces that work with professional wardrobes for mums who need a few key pieces to supplement their existing work wardrobes whilst they are pregnant. Our casual pieces are equally popular.
How do you make it easy for your online customers to buy from you?
I’m fast to reply to any sizing or colour questions, and I’m usually online via Facebook and happy to chat with anyone with questions. I’m very happy to help in any way I can, I’ve been known to send two sizes of pants when I’ve had a desperate mum to be who just wasn’t 100% certain of her sizing and needed pants for an event ASAP. I just trusted that she’d post the other pair back to me (she did).
Do you sell products in person or in a physical store as well?
No, but I’m now moving towards doing ‘try and buy’ days a few times a year now.

What’s next for your online store?
Just slowly expanding our range, listening to what our customers are looking for in maternity wear and trying to exceed their expectations, for example our newly added breastfeeding singlets and T shirts.
