There just seems to be so much stuff happening in the fashiony world at the moment. Maybe it’s because I’m still coming back to earth after Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia? Maybe it’s the change of seasons?

An Australian app has launched for shoppers to get “real time” advice while they’re out shopping. The Sydney-based creators of My Social Stylist – Ainslee Walton and Leah Hassard (pictured) – said inspiration for the app came from their own personal shopping experiences. “Sometimes you just need a friend on hand to say either yes or no”. Do you know how much I love that the organisers of Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane have chosen a woman in her 20s to be the face of this year’s festival? A. Lot. So much better than a teenager. Plus, Adele Frost (pictured wearing Pia du Pradal) has just launched her own fashion label, Friends of the Heart. The schedule for this year’s festival (to run from August 25-31 at the Treasury Casino Hotel) will be announced on May 24, with tickets on sale the following day through QTIX.
