Despite feeling far from fashiony last night at the grungy ksubi show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I’m continuing with a bright outlook on my Fashion Week outfits today. Part of that is due to only packing a certain number of combinations … oh, ok … LOTS of combinations.
Today I’m introducing you to two new purchases. Remember this post? Yep, big fan of Australian designer Gorman … and could love dots as much as I like stripes
I’m keeping the jacket as the feature. I had been tempted to add in the orange shoes at the same time but am saving them for a statement all of their own later in the week.
Instead I’m wearing this super comfortable, yet classically stylish pumps from Zoe Kratzmann footwear (thanks Zoe!).
And let’s talk about the hair.
I felt like a bit of a superstar today with stylist Steve Grech from Stevie English Hair arriving at my hotel room to blow dry my locks. In my dreams, this happens twice a week at home and I never have to style my hair again.
Yes, my imagination can get quite carried away …
Steve asked me whether I was afraid of big hair. I replied, of course not. I grew up on a TV diet of Dynasty and Dallas. Hair can never be too big. Never.
Here’s how it turned out. Likey? I think it complements the Renee Blackwell Design earrings nicely, don’t you think?
I’ve got quite a collection of makeup from Maybelline New York to play around with this week so I’m working on stepping out of my comfort zone and today have added teal as an eyeliner using the upcoming release, EyeStudio Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald ($11.95 and available from July). Loving the rich pigments in these colours and have been inspired by how I’ve seen makeup artist Nigel Stanislaus incorporate them into his catwalk looks.

Thanks to Maybelline NY Australia, I’m blogging at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia all week. Come back each day for my take on what we’ll be wearing – on our face and ourselves – next spring-summer.
