What do you sell in your store?
High quality, well priced, ethically sourced men’s and women’s scarves in fabulous colours and textures.
How did the idea for your store come about?
The inspiration came from my Aunt Kitty who spoke seven languages and travelled the world on a UN passport. She collected scarves along the way and wrapped them around her friends and family – cocooning us with funny stories. It’s taken a whole year to turn my dream of bringing high quality, well priced, ethically sourced scarves in fabulous colours and textures to my friends around the world.
What’s your career background?
I was a journalist in London then came to Australia and did a Bachelor of Arts at the College of Fine Arts. I am now combining creative style and business acumen to launch Cashmere & Kaye.
Who is your key customer?
Savvy, stylish men and women who use accessories to invent new looks.
How do you make it easy for your online customers to buy from you?
We are always on the end of the phone to offer guidance with sales or to answer any enquiries. We also offer fantastic styling advice and information on our blog.
Do you sell in person or in a physical store as well?
We often hold private sales with generous markdowns from our Sydney office. Notification of these can be found on our Facebook page and blog.

What’s next for your online store?
We’re constantly trying to better the quality, and ideas for new colours and textures. Our pieces are part of your everyday kit, and therefore multi-seasonal. I see them as trusty friends that support you at an essential level so we always strive to do that better.
