I could count the number of hours sleep I’ve had over the past few days on my two hands but I could not care. I’ve had a ball. A blogging ball.
And my lightning trip to Kuala Lumpur for the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards has vindicated my “need” to pack an obsessively excessive amount of beauty products to make it look like I was happy and shiny at any time of the day or night despite being anything but.
I’d hereby like to publicly thank the following products: Sodashi Rejuvenating Face Mist, Yes to Carrots Brightening Facial Towelettes, Garnier BB Cream, IIamasqua Skin Base foundation, Bare Minerals loose minerals foundation, Benefit Cha Cha Tint, Benefit Watt’s Up, Jane Iredale Moon Glow, Jane Iredale Just Kissed lip stain in Forever Pink and Napoleon Perdis Lady in Red lipgloss.
And special mention must go to my hair stylist, Maria Faulder from Suite Three. We came up with a cunning hair plan a few weeks ago and it worked. On the day I flew out, she blow dried and pin curled by hair before putting it in an up do. Yes I looked mighty flash getting on that 1am flight … but it was SO worth it.
An hour before the event I pulled out all the pins, gave my hair a little tousle with my fingers and … voila … gorgeous glam-messy curls. Very black tie event-ready. You should try it some time.
I’ll have more about my time in KL on the blog later today … in the meantime here’s what I wore (and yes, what I packed was spot on).

Out the gate and ready to go. See that Gasparre cashmere/modal wrap? I've never felt more glam on the plane. And as for the Samsonite suitcase ... spotted it from 20 metres away at baggage claim

I wielded the blow-dry from home into a side braid, which I then tucked and pinned back in the opposite direction
