Wayne Cooper offers a “tough-pretty” autumn-winter 2010

Wayne Cooper’s Autumn-Winter 2010 is filled with contrasting textures, sharp silhouettes and sculptural ruffles.

The Revolver collection is bold and empowering.  Black is highlighted by ecru, khaki, brunette, gerbera and ultravoilet.  Tailoring is structured, there’s a good dose of aysmetric draping and some bodycon panelling thrown in for good measure.

The ’80s revival continues with strong shoulders creating an inverted triangle shape, which (on the right people!) elongates the leg.

Silk, cashmere and knitwear contrast with ultra soft leather.  My favourite fabric is the appearance of satin metals and coated taffettas – these say “tough/pretty” in just the right way.

Stretchy black snake leggings and tops with black sequins offer a signature Cooper rock chic look.  Also, look out for denim – a new casual offering at WC.
